Best Present EVER!

I received the most wonderful and thoughtful Christmas gift from my neice.  She is such a wonderful young lady and I can't wait to use her present as part of my display as I branch out into the farmer market arena.

A little about moi

Hi! My name is Toni and I've lived in RVA since '98. I've had a wonderful career in both the hospitality industry and the nonprofit sector and have accomplished quite a few of my professional development goals. I consider myself a life long learner so there are still quite a few things on my bucket list, both personally and professionally.

Years ago I made jewelry and sold my designs in the parking lots of music festivals and in certain consignment shops in Roanoke, VA. Then life sped up and sped up some more. Soon I was going full-tilt boogy and I just didn't have the time, or even the energy, to embrace my creativity. I left my position late October '12 to focus on building a life that was more authentic and embraced my passion for special events and jewelry design. I founded Milepost 64 Designs soon after.

I have had a wonderful time browsing and purchasing beads for my designs. I was surprised that I had to relearn basic techniques but luckily it was like riding a bike. I soon found myself with a few completed designs and opened my Etsy store. That was a milestone moment for me. No matter how my passion pursuit pans out, I can say "I've tried".

Community and ensuring I do my part to help those least among us is very important to me. I've dedicated the better part of my professional life in that endeavor. Therefore it's really important to me that Milepost 64 Designs is a good community partner. I donate 10% of my profits quarterly to an RVA organization who is working to make our community a better place for all people. I hope you will enjoy knowing your purchase is contributing to organization's that are doing the good work that is much needed.

I'd love to let you know about these organizations and the type of work they are doing, so feel free to drop me an e-mail at MilePost64Designs@gmail.com. I'll figure out at some point how to make sign-up easier. Learning Blogger was definitely not on my bucket list but...hey life's a learning lesson right?

I look forward to sharing on this site the joys and the struggles of moving Milpost 64 Designs forward.  My next step - sign up for a few local farmer's markets.   That won't cause anxiety at all :-)
